Violence against women: why we cannot afford to be bystanders?

Every other woman in Montenegro has been a victim of violence at some point in her lifetime, while 1 in 5 women reading this text has suffered violence during the last year.

The latest survey on violence in family and violence against women reveals these staggering figures and much more.

For the first time, we have an estimate of the cost of violence –which is astronomical: Montenegro loses almost 234 million euro annually as a consequence of unreported violence.
